Cath Kidston Favourites #1

So it may not come as a surprise to many of you who have been reading my blog a while, but I love Cath Kidston and I may own several Cath Kidston things! 😉 So today I thought I’d share with you some of my favourites.

I couldn’t narrow it down, so I’ve spit it up in to (at least) two posts 😀

Photo 05-06-2017, 14 10 581. Winnie the Pooh dress – I LOVE this print. Back in September Cath Kidston released a limited edition Winnie the Pooh print (which was a lot more limited edition than the more recent Mickey Mouse and 101 Dalmatians prints) in which I was lucky enough to get several things. I’ve not actually worn this dress yet, but I have plans to very soon. Photo 05-06-2017, 14 10 53

2. Penguin Mug – I bought one of these and initially I wasn’t going to use it as I love it too much and I knew I’d be really upset if it broke. But for my birthday my aunt bought me one too (not realising I already had one), which means I can use one of them and show it off and keep one safely stored on my shelves at home.

3. Winnie the Pooh Cushion – again, this is part of the limited edition print. It is a lovely soft, comfy cushion and I love it 😀

4. Handbag – This was my first ever Cath Kidston handbag. I went through a bit of a rough time at the start of third year of university (October 2014) and I bought this as a little cheer me up present. It is one of their “busy bags”. It is a great size and served me well for 2 1/2 years (it broke the other day), I’m still including it though because I have a new one (in a different colour) at home which I picked up in one of the outlet stores a little while ago 🙂

5. Lunch bag – I love this lunch bag, I  bought it last year when I was working to stick my lunch in, it’s a little cool bag too so it’ll keep your lunch cool.

6. Purse – This was the second Cath Kidston item I owned. I got it around June 2014 and it’s been used every day since and is still in great condition!

7. Clouds Glasses Case – it’s quite self explanatory, but I keep my sunglasses in this case. It’s a hard case so I’m not worried about throwing them in my bag.

8. Mickey Mouse Pen – This was part of the Mickey Mouse collection released in December last year, and was given to me by my aunt for Christmas. I love it! It is great to write with and really comfy!

9. Saddle Bag – This was the first Cath Kidston item I owned. I’d been wanting to get one for ages, and then I found one in the Portsmouth outlet shop and couldn’t resist any longer! It is a great size and I love it 🙂

Photo 05-06-2017, 14 13 1510. Cabin Suitcase – I love this! Ok, it was kind of expensive but with Cath Kidston you get the quality, and this has been great for my weekend trips home from uni. This is actually my second Cath Kidston cabin suitcase. Not because the first one broke, but because when this pattern and new style came out I loved it even more than the case I had already. I bought one with mum and we were originally going to share it… but then mum decided to get her own. I’m still yet to sell my other one on eBay though!

So there we have it, part 1 of my favourite Cath Kidston things! I hope it wasn’t too long and I hope you enjoyed it 🙂 I’ll do part 2 soon 🙂

May Favourites 2017

So I know I missed April! Sorry! I was really busy doing coursework and I was half at home and half at uni I didn’t get a chance to think of anything!

But I’m back today with my May favourites, they may seem a bit random though! 🙂

Photo 30-05-2017, 13 07 39

So first up is my Fat Face Pyjama Shorts, I picked these up in the Fat Face sale at the start of May and they’re lovely! They’re soft and incredibly lightweight so are great for the warmer nights!

Ikea Klockis Clock – I’ve been looking at getting one of these for ages, partly because of the thermometer it has (so I can prove to everyone how hot my room actually is), but also because it’s great to have on my desk, especially during revision! It means I don’t have to keep going to my phone to check the time or move away from my desk to see my clock.

Breville Blend Active – I’ve had my blender for a few years now, but I decided to bring it back to uni with my after the Easter holidays. The thing that always used to put me off was how big the bottles are. But then I saw you could buy the smaller bottles online separately now! It has been lovely being able to have smoothies on warm days and as a little snack!

Wrist Support – This has been fantastic. A few days ago I was getting awful pain in my right wrist, I think down to too much writing (and possibly texting XD ). It’s amazing what something little like this can do!

Stabilo Pastel Highlighters – I wrote about these before, I love them and they’re good for revision.

Penguin Sticky Notes – How cute are these?! It makes revision a bit more bearable when you turn the page to see one of these!

GET IT DONE Whiteboard – I found this in WH Smith a couple of weeks ago and I use it to write down what lectures I want to cover in my revision for the day. Plus it has a magnet on it so you could even stick it on the fridge!

Always With Love & Billy and Me by Giovanna Fletcher. I’ve read all three of the Billy and Me stories back to back this month, they’re so cute and I love them! 🙂

Finally, my mini fridge and my tower fan! Last week was so hot here and as my room is hot already it was pretty unbearable! But it’s been great keeping a couple of bottles of water in my fridge to cool me down and this tower fan is brilliant!

So there we have it, my favourites for May. What have you been loving through May?

Just a little note, I’m going down to one post a week at the moment while I’m in the middle of my exams, but I’ll be back again properly once they’re out of the way! 🙂

March Favourites 2017

How is it April already?! I can’t believe I finish uni for Easter on Friday, it only seemed like yesterday that I wrote about my February favourites! So today’s post is to show you some of things I’ve been loving this month 🙂

Photo 29-03-2017, 17 59 04

Bodyshop Strawberry Body Mist – This stuff is lovely, it smells great, lasts a long time and I love it! 🙂

Vaseline Spray and Go Aloe Fresh – Moisturising has never been so easy when using this! It’s just the same as the cream version I spoke about in my February favourites, just much easier! It doesn’t sink too well in to wet skin so isn’t too good straight after a shower but for any other time this is great! 🙂

Photo 29-03-2017, 17 59 11

Imperial Leather Fruit Chew Shower Gel – This smells amazing! It smells just like refreshers sweets and makes me want them! 🙂

Carmex Cherry Lip Balm – After my trusty Blistex lip balm ran out I picked this up to try! It’s tingly but smells great and does the trick. Perhaps not as well as the Bistex but it still works well.

Photo 29-03-2017, 17 59 21

Cath Kidston Fruit Filter Water Bottle – I’ve recently discovered fruit infused water, and I decided to try this bottle. I haven’t got the filter in in this photo, but I’m loving lemon infused water. I tried mixed berries but they weren’t so good. But if you have any recommendations for other flavours to try please let me know! 🙂

Bic 4 Colour Pens – I know these have been around for ages, but I’ve been really appreciating having 8 colours in one place at the moment as I write up lecture/revision notes!

Mug Cakes Chocolate Book – I only made my first mug cake a couple of weeks ago but I’ve been loving them! I can’t wait to try even more of the recipes from this book!

Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway – I love this show and love watching it on a Saturday evening!

Edit, for anyone interested I now have fruit again for my water bottle, here’s a picture of it with the filter in! 🙂

What have you been loving through March? Let me know in the comments below 🙂

February Favourites 2017

Today’s post is all about my favourites from February! They aren’t necessarily new things that I’ve only  just discovered, but are things I’ve enjoyed using during February. 🙂

Body Shop Strawberry Body Butter – This stuff smells amazing and leaves you smelling of strawberries for ages! It isn’t that greasy either, it does take a few moments to sink in, but it feels really hydrating. The only thing is it can be quite expensive, but thankfully Body Shop almost always have offers on 🙂

Zoella Hungry Hands Hand Cream – I really like this hand cream. It smells good (although sometimes a little sickly if used too often!), and the best thing is that it isn’t overly greasy and a little goes a long way!

Body Shop Ginger Anti Dandruff Shampoo – I don’t *really* get dandruff, I just have a small patch at the front of my head that is a bit dry and sometimes really bugs me, and when it does I use this. I’ve tried Head and Shoulders shampoo before but I found it to be really horrible on my hair. This stuff is pretty good. I use it before using my normal shampoo, I don’t like the smell that much but it definitely works!

Vaseline Intensive Care Aloe Lotion – As I suffer from eczema a bit I get quite dry skin (that doesn’t quite need the intensiveness of my eczema cream) this stuff is great. It isn’t greasy, smells lovely and sinks in to your skin really well. It is probably my favourite moisturiser. Plus it is actually really gentle (and so perfect to use after shaving)!

Tangle Teezer Ultimate Finishing Brush – I’ve spoken about this brush before and I absolutely love it. Its great for those little knots and as I’ve worn my hair down quite a bit this month I’ve really appreciated its ability to detangle my hair!

My Kindle! – Yes OK, I’ve had this ages and I’ve always gone on about how I’m not really a fan of kindles, but I’ve really appreciated it this month. I’ve found it so nice to read with when laying in bed. Who knew how great it would be to be able to lay in bed and read one handed while snuggled under your duvet?!

Berol Verithin Colouring Pencils – I actually only got these on Monday, and I bought them for doing one of my uni reports (a Phase 1 Habitat Survey Map), and they’re brilliant. They give a great colour with very little pressure and may even use them for my colouring books now!

My Cath Kidston x Mickey Mouse Pen – I never used to like writing with chunky pens, but this pen is great and really nice to write with 😀

Call the Midwife – I absolutely love this show and I’m loving settling down to watch it on a Sunday evening at the moment! 🙂

The Jump – Yes, OK, it’s one of *those* shows. But I’ve come to love it and it does have some quite well known celebrities on it, and its good fun!

So there you have it, my favourites for February 🙂 I’d love to know what your favourites are, so link me to yours if you’ve done a post like this! 🙂

January Favourites 2017

I decided after my last post, why not start straight away and post something about my favourite things from January.

I’ve seen a few of these “favourites” posts come up, so thought why not?!

These are just a few of my favourites this month (there are so many more that I could pick)!

1) Fat Face Fur Lined Bootsphoto-30-01-2017-13-47-41

I’ve always wanted a pair of Ugg boots but I refuse to pay over £100 for a pair of shoes! I’ve had “fake Uggs” before when I was younger but I ended up ruining them as I was young and didn’t realise that I couldn’t clean them once they got muddy!

When I was in Fat Face last week I saw they had these in stock and in my size (which I was pretty pleased about as they’ve been out a while) and for £38 I decided I couldn’t go too wrong! Since I bought them they’ve pretty much been glued to my feet! They’re so warm and I love them!

2) Blistex Intensive Moisturiser

I started using this lip balm last year and haven’t stopped using it since. Last year I went in to Boots wanting to buy some of the proper Blistex, but as they didn’t have any I decided to try this stuff instead. I suffer from sore lips in the autumn/winter months and this stuff is amazing! Go try it!

3) Cath Kidston Winnie the Pooh Pyjamas

If you want soft, comfy and warm pyjamas, look no further than Cath Kidston! I lived in these over the Christmas holidays and I was so upset when I nearly turned them blue the other day after colour ran from one of my jumpers in the wash!

4) Vanilla Candle

I was given this when I left work last year (I believe it is from the shop Chickadee) and it is the most wonderful smelling vanilla candle ever! I haven’t had much opportunity to use it yet though as I can’t have candles in my room at university, but I love coming home to it!

5) Fluffy Jumper

As far as pyjama jumpers go this is the best I’ve ever had. My aunt bought it for me for Christmas last year and it is so warm and fluffy and snuggly! Definitely go and buy one!

What are your January favourites? I’d love to know 🙂
