September Favourites 2017

How is it October already? :O Although September has gone pretty quick for me I know the next few weeks/months are going to drag on for me until I find a job 😦 I’m rubbish at doing nothing!

September was busy for me, with finishing off my dissertation, moving back home, unpacking back at home, buying my first car, and giving my final university presentation. I wasn’t sure whether I’d be able to do a September Favourites as I can’t think of much to put in but then I had a few ideas πŸ™‚

First thing I’ve been loving is being back home. OK I’m bored a lot of the time and time really really really drags on some days, but I’m loving being reunited with my bookcase and the cushions on my bed πŸ˜€

Secondly I’ve been loving long pyjamas! Yes now that I’m out of my sauna of a room at uni I have been reunited with the enjoyment of snuggling up in long, soft, cozy pyjamas in bed at night πŸ™‚

Thirdly, is my car. I can’t really afford to go too far at the moment but it feels great having a car and knowing I can take myself out/go to the shops/visit people without relying on other people. It is also exactly what I was looking and waiting for πŸ™‚ Plus I was so lucky that the garage knows us (we’ve had a few cars from them now) and they’ve really made sure it is in full working order for me.

My next favourite this month has been the Cath Kidston x Peter Pan collection πŸ™‚ You should go and look at it if you haven’t seen it πŸ™‚ It is all so wonderful and pretty πŸ™‚

Photo 26-09-2017, 19 54 57

Finally, this is going to be quite weird, but my final favourite this month is my achievements in the last year. I’m feeling so flipping proud of myself for obtaining one of the two awards for my degree. I can’t believe I got the highest mark! And finally, I’m so proud of my dissertation. πŸ™‚

So they were some random favourites this month πŸ˜€ What have you been enjoying this month? πŸ™‚

August Favourites 2017

I didn’t get round to doing a favourites post last month as I was so busy with my dissertation and other bits that I didn’t have a chance! But I’ve managed to pull together a few of my favourites from August for you πŸ™‚

First up is this Fat Face T-shirt! I adore it! I’m so glad my mum bought it for me as a present. I was going to wait for it to go in to the sale, but when the sale came it had sold out. Β Thankfully mum had bought me one already and I love it!

Photo 06-08-2017, 18 57 31

Secondly is this Venus Swirl Razor and razor holder. I bought it from Superdrug a few weeks ago when it was one of the weekly star buys. I love the Venus swirl blades, they glide so smoothly and smell wonderful! Annoyingly the razor didn’t come with a razor holder and it didn’t fit in the holder I had already, so I bought this OXO good grips one. It was a bit bigger than I expected but it hasn’t fallen off yet and it’s now been up 4 weeks!Β Photo 26-08-2017, 18 11 54

I finally finished a huge bottle of Body Shop strawberry shower gel so I was so excited to buy a new shower gel after so long! Tesco had these Original Source shower gels on offer and the mango one sounded great! It smells so much like mango and I really like it. Apart from it is a little thin and runny but the smell makes up for it πŸ˜‰Photo 26-08-2017, 18 12 04

CHERUB books! I’ve been re-reading the CHERUB books this month and I’d forgotten how great they are! πŸ™‚ I’ve loved picking them all up again.

My new diary. I spent ages looking for a new diary that had the layout and size I wanted. You’d be surprised at how many week to view diaries don’t have lines in! But I really like this one I bought. I didn’t want it to look too much like an academic planner as I finish uni in 4 weeks. But I settled on this one from WH Smith πŸ™‚

Photo 08-08-2017, 19 42 02

Finally I’ve really been enjoying the TV Series “Nadiya’s British Food Adventure”. Nadiya won the Great British Bake Off a couple of years ago and I think she is brilliant! She’s smart and funny and just so amazing! So I’ve really enjoyed watching it and eyeing up new recipes! πŸ™‚

What have you been enjoying in August? πŸ™‚

June Favourites 2017

Can you believe it’s that time again! Another month has gone and we’re now in July!

I don’t have that much to show you in my favourites this month! I’ve been busy with exams and my research project and I’ve struggled to pick some of my favourites for this month, but here are some of them πŸ™‚

Photo 28-06-2017, 18 45 27 (1)

Let Your Dreams Set Sail Boat – I got this in Jersey while I was on holiday there last year. I love it and it kept me motivated during exams! The exam period was so long for me this year!

Apple and Mango Squash – I picked this up thinking it sounded amazing, and it tastes amazing too! BUT I didn’t realise it isn’t no added sugar. So I have to limit myself to how much I have!

Zoella Hungry Hands Hand Cream – Now I’m back in the lab I’m washing my hands so much! Labs are worrying places with chemicals/germs everywhere. So to keep my hands from drying out I’ve come back to this lovely hand cream.

Superdry Backpack – My old Superdry rucksack is now 4 years old and has served me so well. But it’s falling apart a bit and is looking quite grubby now, so I was looking for a new one. Remember when I was in Cardiff back in May? Well I saw this bag then and loved it but decided not to get it at the time because I’d have to carry it around with me all day. I thought Swansea’s Superdry store would have it! They didn’t 😦 So I went all the way back to Cardiff in the hope they may have it and thankfully they did! πŸ˜€ I love it πŸ˜€

What else have I been loving this month?

Love Island! –Β I mean it’s trash but addictive trash! Think Big Brother but on the beach!

DIY SOS – This show is amazing! I mean if it doesn’t restore your faith in humanity I don’t know what will!

Eat Well For Less – I love this show! It is a good way to learn tips on how to save money on your food shop, as well as picking up good recipes πŸ™‚

The Voice Kids –Β If you want to see incredibly talented kids then you should really check this show out! It’s The Voice but with kids and some of the kids are amazing!!!!

Well that’s all for today! Sorry it’s a bit of a rubbish favourites this month! 😦

What have you been enjoying through June?

15 Films Tag

Recently bothΒ AngelaΒ and Cheila both did the 15 films tag and it looked like good fun, so I thought I’d try it today πŸ™‚

1) Favourite Film

I’m going to do what Cheila did here and give you a list of my favourite films because I can’t pick one! πŸ˜€

  1. Safe Haven
  2. Finding Nemo
  3. Harry Potter (all of them)
  4. Finding Dory
  5. Monsters Inc
  6. Monsters University
  7. Fifty Shades of Grey

  9. Eddie the Eagle
  10. Pitch Perfect (both of them)
  11. Mamma Mia
  12. Big Miracle

  15. Paddington
  16. The Theory of Everything
  17. Les Miserables
  18. Smurfs
  19. Despicable Me
  20. Pocahontas

I think you can tell I like kids films πŸ˜€

2) Favourite Scene in Favourite Film

Ok, I’ll pick one from one of my favourites.

When Hermione hits Draco Malfoy in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, oh and when they have that snowball fight thing and Harry scares Draco, Crabbe and Goyle while he’s under his cloak.

3) Favourite Actor

Ohhh, erm. I really like Eddie Redmayne, I think he is brilliant!

4) Favourite Director

I can’t say I ever pay attention to directors.

5) Film that makes you cry the most

I don’t often cry in films, but the only one I can think of that has made me well up is Marley and Me.

6) Film Saga you have given up and why

The Hunger Games. I only read it/watched it because people were obsessed with it, but quite honestly that first film was so barbaric to begin with I was shocked! Then I watched Catching Fire but gave up on Mockingjay, it was just too dull for me.

7) Favourite Cinematographic Genre

Kids films? And romance stuff πŸ˜€

8) LeastΒ Favourite Cinematographic Genre

9) Childhood Film

Pocahontas! Whenever I used to wake up early on a Saturday morning and my parents wanted to sleep in, my dad would always go downstairs with me and stick on my Pocahontas video.

10) What Film You Would Like to Star In

Pitch Perfect! I think it would be great fun!

11) Films you want to watch

Jurassic Park/World

La La Land

Beauty and the Beast

12) In what film you would like to live

Harry Potter! πŸ˜€ Obviously in the days after Harry defeated Voldemort!Β photo-03-06-2016-13-40-12

13) What’s your favourite cartoon film?

Finding Nemo

14) Films you would recommend

The ones I’ve said above πŸ˜›

15) Films that made you laugh

Eddie the Eagle, and Pitch Perfect πŸ˜€

Have you seen any of these films? πŸ™‚ What do you think of them? πŸ™‚

I hope you enjoyed today’s post and I’ll see you again soon πŸ™‚

Cath Kidston Favourites #2

So after showing you my first 10 Cath Kidston favourites, today I thought I’d show you the other 10 πŸ™‚ The pictures are a bit inconsistent as some are at home and some are here at uni!

Photo 22-06-2017, 15 54 46

1. Pyjamas – I think I have 4 sets of Cath Kidston pyjamas. I love them! They’re all so soft and comfy πŸ™‚Β Photo 22-06-2017, 15 54 49

2. Winnie the Pooh Pouch – I keep this little pouch in my handbag with my medications in. Nothing worse than losing things in the bottom of your handbag!

3. Ticket Holder – I’ve had this for 4 years now and it is still holding up really well. It is so much easier putting my train tickets in here than losing them somewhere in my purse πŸ™‚

Photo 22-06-2017, 15 54 52

4. Mickey Mouse Pouch – I love this Mickey Mouse pouch. It is a canvas-like material and is great for taking all my chargers away with me.

5. Shopper bags – Since we now have the carrier bag charge in the UK I keep a couple of these shopper bags in my handbag so I always have a bag with me. These are great bags too because the handles are long enough to put over your shoulder so if you’re carrying heavier things you can easily carry it on your shoulder.Β Photo 22-06-2017, 15 54 57

6. Wash Bag – I have two wash bags, a bigger one for longer trips away and this small one for weekend trips. I couldn’t resist it when I saw the fish print! πŸ˜€

7. Winnie the Pooh Jumper – Part of the limited edition Winnie the Pooh print this jumper is lovely and warm. I think it is supposed to be an every day jumper, but I tend to use it with my pyjamas (not that I need it right now)!Β Photo 22-06-2017, 15 55 01

8. Winnie the Pooh Overnight Bag – This bag is perfect for overnight trips. It is big enough to fit everything you need for a night in, but not big enough to be too big and bulky πŸ™‚ Plus it folds away nicely into a little pouch for storage.Β photo-16-06-2017-07-31-35.jpg

9. Disney Mugs – These mugs are possibly my favourite Cath Kidston things. They’re really limited edition and are so fragile and I wouldn’t dare use them in fear of them breaking!

10. 101 Dalmatian cushion – I adore this cushion. The print is lovely, plus it is lovely to snuggle in to. My only gripe with it is that it was Β£30, when my Winnie the Pooh cushion was only Β£15, so I get the feeling Cath Kidston got a little greedy with this latest Disney print, but still, I love it. πŸ™‚Β Photo 17-06-2017, 22 35 13

So there we have it, I’ve now shown you all of my Cath Kidston favourites πŸ™‚

I hope you enjoyed this post and I’ll see you again soon πŸ™‚

Cath Kidston Favourites #1

So it may not come as a surprise to many of you who have been reading my blog a while, but I love Cath Kidston and I may own several Cath Kidston things! πŸ˜‰ So today I thought I’d share with you some of my favourites.

I couldn’t narrow it down, so I’ve spit it up in to (at least) two posts πŸ˜€

Photo 05-06-2017, 14 10 581.Β Winnie the Pooh dress – I LOVE this print. Back in September Cath Kidston released a limited edition Winnie the Pooh print (which was a lot more limited edition than the more recent Mickey Mouse and 101 Dalmatians prints) in which I was lucky enough to get several things. I’ve not actually worn this dress yet, but I have plans to very soon.Β Photo 05-06-2017, 14 10 53

2. Penguin Mug – I bought one of these and initially I wasn’t going to use it as I love it too much and I knew I’d be really upset if it broke. But for my birthday my aunt bought me one too (not realising I already had one), which means I can use one of them and show it off and keep one safely stored on my shelves at home.

3. Winnie the Pooh Cushion – again, this is part of the limited edition print. It is a lovely soft, comfy cushion and I love it πŸ˜€

Photo 05-06-2017, 14 11 03

4. Handbag – This was my first ever Cath Kidston handbag. I went through a bit of a rough time at the start of third year of university (October 2014) and I bought this as a little cheer me up present. It is one of their “busy bags”. It is a great size and served me well for 2 1/2 years (it broke the other day), I’m still including it though because I have a new one (in a different colour) at home which I picked up in one of the outlet stores a little while ago πŸ™‚

5. Lunch bag – I love this lunch bag, I Β bought it last year when I was working to stick my lunch in, it’s a little cool bag too so it’ll keep your lunch cool.

6. Purse – This was the second Cath Kidston item I owned. I got it around June 2014 and it’s been used every day since and is still in great condition!

7. Clouds Glasses Case – it’s quite self explanatory, but I keep my sunglasses in this case. It’s a hard case so I’m not worried about throwing them in my bag.

8. Mickey Mouse Pen – This was part of the Mickey Mouse collection released in December last year, and was given to me by my aunt for Christmas. I love it! It is great to write with and really comfy!

Photo 05-06-2017, 14 11 06

9. Saddle Bag – This was the first Cath Kidston item I owned. I’d been wanting to get one for ages, and then I found one in the Portsmouth outlet shop and couldn’t resist any longer! It is a great size and I love it πŸ™‚

Photo 05-06-2017, 14 13 1510. Cabin SuitcaseΒ – I love this! Ok, it was kind of expensive but with Cath Kidston you get the quality, and this has been great for my weekend trips home from uni. This is actually my second Cath Kidston cabin suitcase. Not because the first one broke, but because when this pattern and new style came out I loved it even more than the case I had already. I bought one with mum and we were originally going to share it… but then mum decided to get her own. I’m still yet to sell my other one on eBay though!

SoΒ there we have it, part 1 of my favourite Cath Kidston things! I hope it wasn’t too long and I hope you enjoyed it πŸ™‚ I’ll do part 2 soon πŸ™‚
