It feels like forever since I last wrote a favourites post. I’m not quite sure how we’re at the end of February already, but here goes with my February favourites for 2018.
I still don’t have a job. I’ve had around 8 interviews now and still don’t have a job, and it sucks. It is hard to remain motivated to keep doing applications when you’re just getting rejections. But I’m so proud of these certificates and they’re a major motivation for me of what I can do and they’re keeping me going. I decided to frame them and put them on the wall as something to be proud of.
I feel like I’ve used my Kindle quite a bit recently. I’ve started to see the benefits of it a bit more in comparison to a physical book.
When I got back from South Africa I was desperate to put my holiday photos into a book. They’re a great way to be able to look back at photos without having to use the computer, and they’re also great to take to show people. I got my book from Photobox on a really good deal (around £35 for 130 pages) and decided to spend the last of my Christmas money on it.
While I was on safari in South Africa I was gutted that I didn’t know how to take photos of stars, nor did I have the equipment for it. I decided to buy a little tripod to take away with me, but also for use at home to be able to video when I do baking etc. In the future I’ll probably buy one of the bigger GorillaPods but this one will do for now 🙂
Cabin Zero 28 L backpack
I got this rucksack for Christmas for our trip to South Africa after seeing loads of bloggers talking about them. I LOVE it. I’m hoping to do a vlog soon where I’ll talk about it a bit more. It is quite expensive, but it is brilliant and has several compartments to keep everything in.
Joseph Joseph Dot Water Bottle
Another Christmas present which I’ve enjoyed using. I don’t drink enough water, especially when I’m ill. This bottle is basically a challenge and each time you refill it brings up a new dot, with the aim of getting 4 dots in the day (2.4 litres). It is a good way of challenging yourself to drink more.
I remember watching the 2014 winter olympics while I was in my second year of uni and I loved it. I’ve loved watching the Winter Olympics this year, especially the Skeleton, Ski Jump and Bobsleigh. The only bad thing has been the time difference, meaning I’ve only caught the evening sessions (those that are on in the morning here). But I’ve loved it 🙂
Lee Mead – 10 Year Anniversary
OK, so this only came out on Friday so I don’t know if I can really call this a favourite for this month, but Lee Mead is great. I remember watching the BBC series “Any Dream Will Do” and watching him win the role of Joseph in the West End, which I then went on to see around 4 times. Lee Mead is great in West End shows, where I’ve also seen him in Wicked! and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, but also on TV where he’s appeared in Casualty and Holby City.
So there we have my favourites for February 🙂 What have you been enjoying this month?
